The King asked Kalidas, "You are a genius, bright, an erudite scholar in the field of literature................. still why has God not blessed you with physical looks as good as your mind?"
Wise Kalidas understood the sarcastic comment of the King. He kept quiet at that time.
When they reached the palace, Kalidas asked for two pots - one of mitti(earth) and other of gold. Both were filled with water.
Kalidas asked the King, "Tell me O! King, which pot's water is cold and sweet?"
"Of course! the mitti wala pot." replied the King.
Kalidas smiled, "As cool-ness is not dependent on the physical look of the pot, so is the intellect, O King. Look at the qualities of a man, not his physical appearance. Beauty of the soul is the greatest beauty. Intellect and greatness are related to soul not to this body."
