తనదు తల్లి లంజ, తన యాలు మాదిగే,
శ్రీ పతికి గురువు వసిష్ట్తుడ' రయ
తపము చేత ద్విజుడు! తగ్గింప కులమే'ట్లు?

విశ్వధాభిరామ, వినుర వేమ

His mother was a prostitute, and his wife a pariar;

yet Vasishtha was the tutor to the noble Rama: by austerities he became a brahmin,
