అల్ప-సుఖములె' ల్లనా' శించి మనుజుండు,
బహుళ దుఃఖములను మాద పడును;
పర -సుఖంబు నోంది, బ్రతుకంగ నేరడు
విశ్వధాభిరామ, వినుర వేమ

The man who longs after trifling comforts,
suffers the grief of many sorrows;
it is out of his power to attain the highest bliss, and live forever.
