ఎరుక మాలు వాడు యేమే 'మి చదివిన
చదివినం 'త సేపు సద్గుణి యగు
కదసి తామరందు కప్ప గూర్చున్నట్లు
విశ్వధాభిరామ, వినుర వేమ
Whatever she may read who is devoid of understanding,
her virtue continues only so long as she is reading,
even as a frog is dignified only so long as it is seated on a lotus leaf
